The world has fallen in love with the operating system Windows 7. While the world was less than impressed with the Windows Vista model, they have found much reason to exclaim the new version of Microsoft’s premiere product. Part of the reason that it is so well received is that Microsoft starting doing something it hadn’t done in years: it starting listening to the consumer.
One of the knocks on Windows in the past, even the popular XP version, was that there was too much clutter and too much to figure out. It wasn’t neat, clean and efficient. It was cluttered and filled with applications. So Windows answered back with an operating system that was less clutter and easier to manage.
One of the things that Windows 7 did was make better use of the tool bar. The research showed that when these windows are open, the tool bar is the only accessible place to find information. Previous versions of the system had users close or minimize windows in order to access open applications on the desktop. The current Windows 7 has an advanced toolbar that is making the user experience easier.
When an application is opened by the user, the icon for that application will appear in the tool bar at the bottom of the screen. As long as that application is open it will appear at the bottom. Once the application is closed the icon will disappear.
There are a number of icons that sit at the bottom of the toolbar at all times. It’s common applications that sit there. However, these programs can be pinned or unpinned to the taskbar by a simple right click on the icon and selecting the appropriate action. This effective and helpful taskbar is making Windows 7 more user friendly for everyone. It understands that regardless of who is using the system, everyone can benefit from a more organization during their computer usage.
